How to make true friends on Facebook/Twitter and Social Media Sites

How to Make REAL friends on Facebook/Twitter and Other Social Media Sites!

Hi All,As you know I call myself the Pressure Free Sales Coach.

Why? Well it sounds good and it describes exactly what I do. I help people sell better with less pressure. So anytime I feel pressure of any kind, it infuriates me and really gets up my spine.

This could be overt pressure or even covert. What do I mean by pressure, well anytime that I am being pushed in a certain direction or interacting with someone when I know that they have a set agenda and alteier motives. Now here is the thing, right now there is a huge , huge movement of promotion of Web 2.0 and using it to promote and network for business.I have NO issues with that..

So through facebook, twitter even youtube I often get friend invites and in the back of my mind, I imediately know that the sender really has no interest in me as a person and I can feel their simply out their to increase their friend count or follower count. So let me ask you? Of all your social networking frineds, how many are really your friends that you take a genuine interest in or that take an interest in you? The only way to get the most out of these realms is actually make friends.

Growing a business is not a numbers or statistics game. Facebook, twitter or youtube is just the same as any other realm. People won't listen to you or talk to you until they know how much you care about them.So here are 5 tips for generating real friends-

  1. Ask a question on your invite.
  2. Be specific about anything and everything, make it personal.
  3. Share your story when asked but not before otherwise you are sending spam ideas.
  4. Take an interest in others before you expect them to take an interest in you.
  5. Ask the other person IF they want something BEFORE you send it. A free gift if deleted even if it is GOLD, if it is not asked for.

That's all from me.

Now go out and make friends, not numbers.
